The trails at Clear Creek start at the valley and meander along the creek through beautiful hillsides and lovely overlooks near the Clarion River. Mountain laurel and rhododendron bloom in mid-June and early July. bring your camera as you won’t want to miss these spectacular blooms. Many trail follow old logging paths and have a mix of hardwood and evergreen forests.
Take a dip in the lovely Clarion River or hang out on the 180 foot long sandy beach that’s open from May-September. One of the best things about the beach is that it is smoke free, so you can lounge in comfort.
If kayaking is more your speed then you will love our class 1 Clarion River. With an average speed of 4 miles per hour there are two popular trips that are 4 miles long and 10 miles long. You can bring your own kayak by hooking it up to your toy hauler or travel trailer, hitting the road, and enjoying your time at this park.
We mentioned that black bears are native to the area. And they aren’t too hard to find. Just make sure you keep your food and RV sealed. Don’t leave out any garbage that could cause the bears to come foraging for food. In addition to black bears you might come across porcupine, bald eagles, river otters and much more.
